One thing that I found out about myself while backpacking is that I love watching the sunset, especially from a beach. There is just something magical about the sea and the changing colors…… Last summer when I was on Koh Tao, I actually set my alarm a few times so that I did not miss the sunset! I wanted to share a few of these sunsets with you.
Een van de dingen die ik tijdens het backpacken over mezelf heb geleerd is dat ik dol ben op zonsondergangen. Ik vind het erg leuk om bijvoorbeeld naar het strand te gaan en de zonsondergang te zien. Het heeft iets magisch, met de kabbelende golven en de veranderende kleuren in de lucht… Afgelopen zomer toen ik op Koh Tao was zette ik zelfs een paar keer mijn alarm zodat ik de zonsondergang niet zou missen! Ik wilde een paar van deze zonsondergangen met jullie delen.
The ‘champagne skies before the sunset’
One day I noticed there was this kitesurfer doing his (or her?) thing during the last sunhours. The grey color of the sea and the beige color in the sky looked so cool that I had to take a few photo’s.
Een dag zag ik een kitesurfer allerlei moves doen. De grijze kleur van het water en de beige kleur van de lucht leken zo mooi, dat ik wel een paar foto’s moest maken.
The ‘sunset with boats’
Just because it is cloudy it does not mean you can not see a nice sunset. I thought it was nice how the sun peeked underneath the clouds.
Zelfs als het bewolkt is kan er een mooie zonsondergang te zien zijn. Ik vond het erg bijzonder hoe de zon onder een laag wolken te zien was.
The ‘blue and pink sunset’
This blue and pink sunset was amazing. The way the cloudes formed and looked all stormy… Such a spectacular view.
Deze blauw met roze zonsondergang was geweldig. Door de manier van wolkvorming (is dat een woord?) leek het alsof er een storm op komst was… wat een fantastisch uitzicht.
The ‘orange skies after the sunset’
When the sun was almost down, everything turned orange. Can you believe that these four photos were made a few minutes after the ‘blue and pink’ one?
Toen de zon bijna onder was, werd alles oranje. Deze vier foto’s zijn een paar minuten na de ‘blauw met roze zonsondergang’ gemaakt.
