Sunday
On Sundaymorning I changed hotels. From Arlo Nomad I went to Pod 39, which is not far from Grand Central Station. I had stayed at Pod 39 last year too, and enjoyed the location, because it is close to the GC and Midtown. The rooms are not very spacious, but they are clean. The staff is friendly and the neighbourhood is not very touristy.

Breakfast
After changing hotels, I grabbed a quick breakfast (bananabread and a lemonade) at a coffee place and walked quickly to TOTR.

Top Of The Rock (TOTR)
Address: 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Top Of The Rock gives you one of the best views of Manhattan. Both last year and this year I bought ‘sun and starts’ ticket, which means you can visit once during the day and once during sunset/night within 24 hours. It is worth the money because New York looks both lovely with a blue sky and with a black sky and all of the colorful lights.
A must visit for any visitor of NYC!
Sidenote: In the early morning is it usually relatively quiet.

Snack

Magnolia Bakery
Address: 1240 6th Avenue.
Magnolia Bakery is a good place for a sweet treat; they have a lot of options. This time I went for the famous banana pudding- and although I am not a huge banana-flavour fan, I did enjoy this!

Museum of Art and Design (MAD)
Address: 2 Columbus Circle.
The Museum of Art and Design (MAD) is worth a visit if you like art in any way. Before visiting, I would recommand checking the exhibits, so you know if there is anything that you might like. I wondered around for about an hour. There was a punk-exhibition which I found interesting, because it was before my time and I did not know much about it.


Lunch @ Bareburger
Address: 313 W 57th St.
After the museum I was pretty hungry and looked on my phone for a place to eat lunch. I remembered Bareburger from last year and decided to go there again. At Bareburger you can get tasty burgers, but they are not the “standard burger”. I went for the Mexican burger, which was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were good too. I also had a strawberry lemonade, which was very refreshing.

Afternoon

Times Square
I had some time to kill about lunch before the musical, so I walked to Times Square and sat there for a little while.

Broadway
I went to Waitress the musical and was very surprised. It was my first time seeing a musical and I expected not to like it as much as i did. I loved it! The stage was amazing, the actors were great and the songs were good. I had such a enjoyable afternoon! Tickets are around 100 dollars at least, but so worth it!


Dinner @ By Chloe
Address: 1 Rockefeller Plaza.
After the musical I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before going to the TOTR for the sunset. So I went to By Chloe for a quick dinner-option. I ordered for the greek salad and it was very very good! I got a huge portion and it had a very tasty dressing.

Evening

After dinner I went back to the TOTR for sunset. It was about an hour before sunset and it was already very busy. All these people were trying to get a good spot to see the sunset, which was not the most pleasent experience.
In the end the sunset was about half an hour later than expectd, so I was a little bored while waiting for it. However, the evening view of Manhattan made up for it!
